An execution, a murder, someone's secrets gone to the bottom of the sea?

I think it's the victim of a failed mutiny, or a prisoner thrown overboard.

I love the "she" in reference to the sphere, and the way the last line darkens the rather peaceful image of an iron sphere slightly blurred by deep, deep water.

* I assume it's deep.
