Lovely. I can look at this two different ways—one sad, it's still a white wall. And one almost comforting, secure, like people who have a strong sense of self—a new white is fine. Thanks for this poem.
Good one Matt. A sense of a clean slate. But equally the 'new white' perhaps not that different from the old.
