Do you know what I love? When I read something that's fabulous and then see the name underneath and it's a friend. It gives me such a buzz. This is so gorgeous. Must have some from oh, somewhere then.

Hey, thanks. I love writing short poems like this one -- which is an American Sentence -- because they allow me to remember past events with such clarity. I remember that man sweeping up leaves on Lake City Way as if I just saw him. I know I wouldn't have the same recollection of him, or of that moment, had I not documented it in a poem.
